Help With Directories

It is not necessary to download materials in order to study text or to listen to audio content from this site. You may open text files and listen to MP3 lessons online.

However, if you are downloading materials for offline study, we recommend that you replicate the tree structure of directories, seen to the right, on your C:/ Drive. If you download Zipped files, containing complete books or other materials, the directory structure at the left will be generated automatically (unless you do not enable the “Use Folder Names” option on the “Extract” dialog.) See the Download Help page.

Then, we recommend that you download the text files into that structure as you find them here. There will be several advantages related to your Bible study productivity if you do this:

First, you will be able to synchronize the new downloadable materials at this site with your previous downloads.

Also, from time  to time, there will be indices posted here to Mr. Clough’s materials. Those indices, if downloaded to the proper directory on your computer, will directly link to the item of interest in that index. For example, if you download a Scripture Index to all of Mr. Clough’s materials, you will be able to open the document where that verse is referenced by clicking on the path to that document.

Also, if you are involved in one of the projects at this site, either as contributor or as an observer of others’ work, you will be able to locate the files that are the subject of any discussions.

And, furthermore, if you employ the use of the free search tool available here, your search results will show you exactly what file contains your search criteria and the path to it on your computer.

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”

Genesis 9:13
